Return Shipping Options
Not applicable if you've already paid for shipping through online purchase. If you have specific return shipping requests please let me know here. Insurance or signature confirmation on any of the below is an additional charge. USPS doesn't have signature confirmation to International locations (Canada and anywhere else in the world). Your local postal facility might collect a signature, but I can't guarantee it. If something other than the options below are desired please use "Other" below and I'll do what I can to accommodate and only charge actual shipping charges. I'll send you a quote for anything without a price listed next to it. Depending on the package size DHL Express will be around $50 to $80. UPS and FedEx international shipments are usually around $100.
Store Purchase - Shipping Already Paid - $0

Signature Confirmation?
Anything over $500 declared value (insurance) will automatically require signature confirmation (this is a condition of the insurance policy). I can insure something for $499 and not require a signature if desired. If you are not sure we can discuss via email. I'm unable to guarantee signature confirmation for USPS International shipments (including Canada). The local postal service may or may not collect a signature. I can ship internationally via DHL, FedEx, or UPS, but there is a chance (very likely chance) you'll be charged additional fees.

Are you purchasing a pen/nib from me?
Enter the pen/nib being purchased. Check the "SHOP" page for any pens/nibs I might have in stock or email me with questions.
Nib Feel
Do you have a preference as to the way the nib feels when writing? Some pens/nibs often have a certain feel when writing. Some nibs will be very smooth and others will have a little texture (feel like writing with a pencil). Use the options below to specify your preference and I'll do what I can to accommodate your choice. Please understand certain pens will have a certain "feeling" when writing no matter how polished the nib tipping is.

Tuning and Smoothing - $15 (and up)
This service is included with any purchased made from Nib Grinder. Tuning/General Adjustment/Smoothing - $15 and up (will send quote if over $25) - If your nib is a little scratchy, has flow issues, tines misaligned, or just doesn't feel right. If it turns out there are issues not covered by this service I'll let you know.
Flow Adjustment - Specify issue in comments.
Smooth - Specify issue in comments.
Other - Specify issue in comments.
Standard Grinds - $40
Below are a list of standard grinds offered. If you select Cursive Italic you can also indicate a smoothness level in the comment section (1 - crisper side, 2 - smoothed a little, 3 - smoothest version of a CI). If no smoothness level indicated I'll make it around level 2. The smoother the CI is made a little side stroke line variation will be lost.
Formal/Crisp Italic (Advanced Use)
Straight CI (Cursive Italic)
Straight CSI (Cursive Smooth Italic - Possibly less line variation compared to CI)
Straight Stub
Rounded Nose Italic (RNI)
Oblique (Left Foot) - Use "Service Comments" to indicate type of grind as well, such as CI.
Oblique (Right Foot) - Use "Service Comments" to indicate type of grind as well, such as CI.
Advanced Grinds - $50
Grinds below are more complex to create than the standard grinds above. Some may also be dependent on the angle at which you hold your pen (for example, the Architect grind). If you select any of these grinds if will help if you answer questions related to angle, tilt, and rotation.
Architect/Hebrew/Arabic - (Smooth - Slightly thicker downstroke than Crisp version)
Architect/Hebrew/Arabic - (Crisp - Slightly thinner downstroke than Smooth version)
Hybrid (Architect/Blade) - (Has an Architect front that curves into a Blade, slightly less side stroke width)
Predator - (Predator Bird Beak Style Grind - Similar to Saibi Togi - Reverse writes Med/Broad)
Predator Extreme - (Similar to Predator above but reverse writes like an Architect)
Predator Hybrid - (Similar to Predator but not as "downward" pointing making this a little more user friendly)
Blade Turk - Extremely fine blade shaped grind.
Blade Shape - (Similar to Naginata Togi - Use comments to specify size, Blade Turk is very fine version)
Reversible Grind - For example, CI on normal side and extra-fine when reversed. Specify in comments.
Fude or Concord (Reverse Fude) - Use the comments section to make any specific requests around this nib.
Reduction Options
Along with your pen it would be best if you can include a desired writing sample and I can match things up to that.
Grind Down in Size - $45 - (Down to Western/German EF)
Straight Turk - Needlepoint or Finer (Advanced) - $50
Grind Down (Add-On) - $5 (Select this option if you have a Broad but want a Medium CI)
Writing Sample?
Include a desired writing sample for any pens/nibs you are sending and want it ground down in size. I'll try to match things up to that. Understand that if you selected the "Grind Down in Size" option above and don't include a desired writing sample there is a chance I won't grind your nib down enough or that I'll grind it down too much.
